KEVIN COLE
Balancing My Thoughts with Hope, Prayers, and Dreams

Father's Day again, and ties are symbolic as we recognize all of them.

The Atlanta artist, Kevin Cole, has artwork that shifts us playfully past the typical retailer's shiny, striped representations. While I pause to think of a dad's contributions, I think of the balance of strength and tenderness fathers can show in raising someone to tow the line. At the same time, he can colorfully encourage, play, and celebrate a child's own unique abilities throughout the twisting road and childhood events. All the time, praying for the best he can humanly provide.

If you are fortunate enough to spend time with someone so unquestionably invested in celebrating all of your successes and at times, the untangling of your messes, keep the day simple, look him in the eye and say Happy Father's Day. The best gift is to show him that his hope, dreams and prayers have been anwered in the way you continue to go about living your own life.
