Time to contemplate what makes POPular ART? Art contest( http://www.artnewsblog.com/2009/05/artprizeorg-250000-art-prize.htm ) online is a little like Am Idol in that the public juries the show to decide a winner? Knowing this -how does one decide to create in a direction that is totally purposed for an audience? Isn't this a little like our lives-and are we living for others' judgement or creating our own canvas from inner voices?

Mother's Day

Time together is well spent. Mom day is always a special event. To look back and realize how fast they grow,like a nurtured garden, with daily gifts.

Time is Relative

If we are facing more and more computer driven simulcasts and syncroniously learning, will the shelf life of our knowledge exist for any longer-or linger for less time?

Do you wonder when we transition into valuing the 'now' in knowledge more than the story in history, will the books on the shelf eventually disappear from our libraries? Will the intention of being fully aware of all things happening right now prevent us from the browsing backwards into stories of our own family members, local heroes, or historic events? Questing for knowledge...I wonder if we are on a treadmill, searching for anything that fuels us fatefully faster into the future, to create a better world-but forgetting the path forged by our fathers. Will we need to invent a new definition for a new word. Foreget. Erasing the past before it happens so that the current keeps flowing.

Collaboration

The motto of Kentuckians....united we stand, divided we fall. Collaboration is quite possibly the most powerful opportunity we have to create better lives. In empty spaces before or directly following the drama in our lives, or when we feel as if the hiccup in our plans has become more like a very torturous, tightly held gas bubble in our chest, remember just one person has the power to influence us-or that just maybe you or I were meant to burst in to one another's life blindly and impose relief from their pain, artist block, agony of past lives, just by being open to the idea that like soap bbbbubbles we have greater strength when stuck together, and far tragically, like isolated bubbles in the wind -weaker when we do not acknowledge the power of connection and land on our own onto the razor sharp surface of reality.
